Dr. LeslieBeth Wish is nationally recognized for her groundbreaking work with women's relationship, career and childhood abuse issues, as well as her work with soldiers and their families, especially widows. She offers sound, research-based relationship advice that is unique, innovative and fun-and makes sense.  Her areas of expertise include issues such as smart dating, women's relationship advice, dating, divorce, career and workplace advice, happy family advice, post-traumatic stress, stress management, holiday stress, sexual dysfunction and leadership training.

Dr. Wish's cartoon strip "Almost Smart Cookie" takes readers through Cookie's love adventures while giving them the tools to improve their own relationships.  Each strip is based on Dr. Wish's research findings. She is also a speaker for non-profit, corporate and university organizations and serves as the Co-Director of The Counseling Network of the Special Operations Warrior Foundation, which offers free counseling for grief, post-traumatic stress and family and children needs for military families and veterans.

Dr. Wish's work at the New England Institute of Family Relations-the first Masters and Johnson-based sexual dysfunction clinic in New England-and her research-based book, Incest, Work and Women (under the name LeslieBeth Berger), earned national recognition and established her as a pioneer in sexual dysfunction and women's love and career issues. Her book uncovered the connection between women's childhood abuse and their career problems.

That research sparked Dr. Wish's next ground-breaking project on the relationship problems of women, especially ages 20-40+. These age groups come from the highest number of divorced or single parents. This factor, combined with increased number of professional women, especially in the fields of law and medicine, has created specific and troubling relationship issues such as disappointing choices of men, affairs and depression. Another issue is the delayed grief of widows, especially those who lost their spouses and partners in the Iraq and Afghanistan wars. These women, too, have unique struggles regarding dating. This next book about Smart Cookie and love will be a guide for helping women get over their mistrust, fears and unhappy, unhealthy dating patterns and learn to date and love smart! If you are interested in being part of the research, please see the Research Invitation for women who are HAPPY in their relationships, as well as women who are UNSURE, CONFUSED, UNHAPPY ow who want to LEARN more about love.
